Skydance TV Names 10-Executive Leadership Team

George Cheeks has drawn the first clear org chart for Skydance TV. The co-chair and chief content officer named ten top executives and created a new Skydance TV Studios unit to house three major production groups under one umbrella.

The new studio stack

Skydance TV Studios will officially include Warner Bros. Television Group, led by Channing Dungey; CBS Studios, led by David Stapf; and Paramount Television Studios, led by Matt Thunell. See It Now Studios now operates as a label within CBS Studios, with Susan Zirinsky reporting to Stapf. Skydance Sports Entertainment also sits inside the wider studios group, though its details are still to come.

Dungey’s remit expands beyond Warner Bros. TV to include the combined Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery cable portfolio of 50-plus brands, including HGTV, Food Network, TNT, BET and MTV. For cable channels outside the US, she reports to Cheeks on programming and to JB Perrette on operations.

Who runs what

  • David Berson leads Skydance’s Global Sports Group, covering live sports across CBS Sports, TNT Sports and WBD Sports.
  • Amy Reisenbach leads CBS Entertainment, which holds the most-watched primetime schedule.
  • Tom Cibrowski continues to run CBS News operations.
  • Bryon Rubin becomes COO and adds oversight of CBS Television Stations.
  • Laurel Weir takes research and programming insights across broadcast, cable and studios.
  • Mike Benson leads portfolio marketing; Chris Ender runs communications and publicity.

On the production side, Stapf’s CBS Studios remains anchored by NCIS, which the memo calls the world’s #1 TV franchise, and includes NCIS: New York, the #1 new series of the broadcast season. Thunell’s Paramount TV Studios carries Reacher, spin-off Neagley, and the Taylor Sheridan universe spanning Dutton Ranch, Landman and Lioness on Paramount+ and Marshals on CBS.

What the consolidation means

Cheeks’ memo sets three priorities: deliver great storytelling, maximize the value of programming and brands, and strengthen audience connection. For media buyers and streaming professionals, the practical signal is a more centralized leadership layer. Research, marketing, communications and sports rights now have single owners across combined broadcast, cable and studio assets.

The sports footprint is particularly wide. Berson’s combined rights portfolio includes the NFL, UEFA Champions League, NHL, MLB, March Madness, PGA Tour, The Masters, WNBA, NASCAR and college football. That concentration matters for advertisers planning around live events and for platforms competing for licensed sports.

There are still gaps. Integration planning is ongoing, and the memo says more detail will follow. But the first leadership bench suggests Skydance is organizing for portfolio-level decisions rather than separate studio fiefdoms.
