Week one: a solid total, then a slide
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest has closed its first week with ₹53.50 crore net in India, crossing the ₹50 crore mark in seven days. The film added an estimated ₹4.40 crore from 6,966 shows on Thursday, according to Sacnilk figures cited by Republic World.
The India gross for the week stands at ₹63.57 crore. With overseas gross at ₹5.50 crore so far, the worldwide total reaches ₹69.07 crore.

Occupancy points to a front-loaded run
Thursday’s overall Hindi occupancy was 16.96%, with Chennai leading at 42.7%. Collections have declined continuously since Monday, which matters more than the headline ₹50 crore milestone. A first-week total is useful, but for exhibitors and media planners the daily trend from Monday onward is a better read on how long the film will hold screens.
The second week is the real test. For a star-led Hindi release, the second Friday-to-Sunday hold shows whether word of mouth is converting into late or repeat audiences—or whether the film is burning through its initial interest.
What this means for the screen business
For entertainment marketers, the opening-week ₹53.50 crore net is not the final verdict. The number that matters next is the second-weekend drop. A strong hold would signal that the film can retain show counts rather than lose inventory to new releases.
The film is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF Motion Pictures, directed by Deepak Mishra, with Anup Soni, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul in the ensemble. For both studios, the second-week trajectory will shape how the title is positioned in licensing and streaming conversations after its theatrical window.
