Drishyam 3 Day 1: ₹28.13 crore by 2pm

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has begun its box office run with a strong early pace. By 2 pm on Friday, 2 October, the Ajay Devgn-led finale had collected ₹28.13 crore net in India from 7,431 shows, according to Sacnilk estimates cited by The Times of India. The film is expected to cross ₹50 crore on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday.

The opening-day number is only the first data point. The advance booking curve is already showing how the weekend could behave.

Advance sales carry the signal

Across seven days currently open for booking, the film has registered ₹60.17 crore gross in India including blocked seats. Excluding blocked inventory, the advance gross is ₹49.29 crore, with about 18.02 lakh tickets sold across 51,570 shows.

  • Friday: ₹31.65 crore gross advance, or ₹27.92 crore without blocked seats
  • Saturday: ₹14.77 crore advance
  • Sunday: ₹11 crore advance
  • Monday to Wednesday: ₹93.87 lakh, ₹91.88 lakh and ₹86.37 lakh respectively

Friday clearly leads the advance window. In fact, the Friday number is over half of the Friday-to-Sunday advance gross. That makes this a front-loaded holiday opening rather than a slow-build weekend.

Blocked seats are not demand

The ₹10.88 crore difference between the ₹60.17 crore headline and the ₹49.29 crore clean figure is blocked or held-back inventory. Media planners and distribution analysts should treat the lower figure as the real early indicator of consumer commitment.

The show count points in the same direction. Friday alone has 16,125 shows logged, compared with 51,570 shows across the full seven-day window. The 1 October premiere was modest at ₹3.18 lakh from 84 shows. Meanwhile, the following Wednesday has sold 52,606 tickets across 1,898 shows at 12% advance occupancy, which suggests the film is not relying only on the first weekend.

The franchise factor

As the third and final Hindi instalment, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion arrives with built-in awareness. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, and the creative team is reported to have taken a different route from the Malayalam franchise. Early reactions have focused on the performances, suspense and climax.

That familiarity lowers the cost of driving first-choice awareness, but the final-chapter label also raises the stakes. The next test is simple: if Saturday and Sunday hold near their advance levels and add walk-ins, the film can convert a strong holiday start into a sustaining run. If the weekend curves downward sharply, it will look like an event that burned through its core audience on day one.
