Vrushakarma, the Karthik Dandu-directed mythical thriller led by Naga Chaitanya, now has theatrical distribution locked in three of the southern markets that shape a Telugu release’s early box-office trajectory.
Producer-distributor Dil Raju has acquired the film’s theatrical distribution rights for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka through Sri Venkateswara Creations. The deal is in place ahead of a planned worldwide theatrical release on December 4, 2026.
What the deal covers
The arrangement gives Vrushakarma an established distribution route across three high-stakes territories, although financial terms have not been disclosed. The film is produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar B under the Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings banners, and is presented by Bapineedu.
The film is positioned as a mythical thriller combining ancient mysteries, mythological elements and suspense. Recent marketing has leaned on its production design; a video released on Sunday showcased an elaborate cave set built for a key portion of the narrative.
- Release: December 4, 2026 worldwide
- Territories: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka via SVC
- Cast: Naga Chaitanya, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Sparsh Shrivastava
- Claim: biggest budget and career-high pre-release business for Naga Chaitanya
Why the deal matters
For the box-office trade, a distribution map is an early demand signal. Dil Raju’s participation gives the film an experienced theatrical route in three markets where local distribution can materially affect opening potential.
The bigger commercial claim is that Vrushakarma is Naga Chaitanya’s biggest-budget film and that its pre-release business has already reached a career high for the actor. No figure has been shared, so media planners should read this as positioning rather than verified revenue. The proof will come closer to release through trailer response, music reception, advance bookings and opening-day occupancy.
What to watch before December 4
With the release date approaching, the makers are preparing to step up the promotional campaign, and further plot and promotional details are expected. For entertainment marketers, the distribution lock is a calendar cue: it is time to begin tracking campaign intensity, audience signals and advance-booking velocity in the three locked markets.
The technical team includes cinematographer Ragul D Herian, composer Ajaneesh B Loknath, production designer Sri Nagendra Tangala and editor Naveen Nooli. Narasimha Chary Chennoju serves as executive producer.
The rights deal does not predict the film’s performance, but it does show where early trade confidence is being placed.
