Ranabaali is now in the stretch where the second-week story gets written. As of Day 12, the Vijay Deverakonda period action drama had collected a live net of ₹0.46 crore from 729 tracked shows, according to Sacnilk’s running estimate. That takes India net to ₹54.71 crore and India gross to ₹63.59 crore, with the final Day 12 figure still to come after night shows.
The Day 12 picture is a partial read
The discipline here is to treat these numbers as a trend line, not a result. A 729-show live sample will move, but two signals inside it are useful right now: morning occupancy is just 13.2% nationally, while Warangal is running at 46%. That spread suggests demand is pooling in pockets of the Telugu market rather than holding broadly.
That matters because Ranabaali is a Telugu-language film whose recovery leans heavily on its core Andhra-Telangana centres. A thin national average can either hide a strong local story or reveal that the wider footprint is thinning. For media buyers and distributors, city-level variance is the more honest signal.
Where the film stands after opening week
- Opening week India gross: ₹52.55 crore
- Opening week worldwide gross: ₹63.65 crore
- Opening week overseas gross: ₹11.10 crore
Those first-week numbers landed despite stiff competition from Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2. The Day 13 advance, ₹1.25 crore gross as of 2 PM on 27 October, is the next demand checkpoint. It is not a cliff, but it shows whether the film is converting remaining interest into planned weekday footfall.
What the slowdown actually signals
At this stage of a star-led action drama, the question is less whether Day 12 is big and more how quickly the film is stepping down. The film’s period setting, against the Madras Famine of 1876–1878 in Rayalaseema, gives it a differentiated identity, but differentiation does not insulate a film from mid-week softness. The realistic read is that Ranabaali has moved past its peak and is now in the grind where every additional crore from the Telugu core counts differently than the opening burst.
Do not trade the ₹0.46 crore live figure as final. Instead, watch three things in sequence: the Day 12 night final, the Wednesday advance, and whether Warangal-style over-indexing spreads to other Telugu centres or stays isolated. That sequence will say more about the second-week floor than the national average will.
