Vibe Day 13: India net hits Rs 14.32 cr as shows fall to 509

Kunal Kemmu’s Vibe is now in a second-week wind-down. On day 13, Wednesday, September 30, the film added Rs 22 lakh in India net collection from 509 shows, a decline of 26.7% from the Rs 30 lakh it earned on Tuesday, according to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India.

The hold brings the India net cume to Rs 14.32 crore. India gross stands at Rs 17.07 crore, with Rs 2.05 crore from overseas. Worldwide gross is Rs 19.12 crore after 13 days.

The second-week taper

The daily curve shows a title living weekend to weekend. After a Rs 11.25 crore first week, the second Friday dropped to Rs 50 lakh from just 485 shows. Saturday and Sunday recovered to Rs 90 lakh apiece, but that floor did not hold into the week.

  • Week 1 net: Rs 11.25 crore, powered by a Rs 3.00 crore Sunday and a Rs 2.75 crore Saturday.
  • Second-weekend peak: Rs 90 lakh on Saturday and Rs 90 lakh on Sunday, at 40% and 42% occupancy.
  • Weekday slide: Rs 25 lakh Monday, Rs 30 lakh Tuesday, Rs 22 lakh Wednesday.
  • Show count: down from 3,194 on opening day to 509 on day 13.

What the occupancy split says

Day 13’s 15% overall occupancy is uneven. Morning shows managed 6.77%, while night shows reached 24.62%. Afternoon and evening were 13.38% and 10.31%. That suggests remaining demand sits mostly in the night window, not across the full day.

For distribution and exhibition teams, the structural issue is show-count erosion. A 26.7% single-day drop matters less on its own than the fact that Vibe is now playing on roughly one-sixth of its opening-day show base. Even a strong occupancy spike becomes small money when the screen universe has shrunk this far.

The franchise context

Vibe is Kunal Kemmu’s second directorial after Madgaon Express and his producing debut. It has been developed as a spin-off of that earlier project, with Kemmu’s character Hardik at the centre; Preity Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava and debutant Vanshika Dhir co-star. For the trade, the spin-off angle makes the theatrical performance a test of whether the earlier title’s audience can be converted into a repeatable property.

The first six days of week two add up to about Rs 3.07 crore, less than a third of the week-one total. Watch the next few sessions to see whether 509 shows becomes the floor, or simply another step down before the title moves toward its streaming window.
