After a stronger second weekend, Ranabaali fell back to earth on Monday. The Vijay Deverakonda–Rashmika Mandanna starrer collected Rs 1.25 cr net in India on 26 October from 1,510 shows, as per Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India. That takes the Telugu film’s worldwide gross to Rs 75.25 cr.
Day 11: the second-weekend bump fades
Monday’s collection was down 56.9% from Sunday’s Rs 2.90 cr. That is the weekly reset after a stronger second weekend: Friday had earned Rs 2.10 cr, Saturday Rs 2.80 cr and Sunday Rs 2.90 cr. The film is now in the distribution tail rather than the growth phase. It added Rs 15 lakh from overseas on Monday, taking overseas gross to Rs 12.20 cr.
- Day 11 India net: Rs 1.25 cr from 1,510 shows
- India net total: Rs 54.25 cr; India gross: Rs 63.05 cr
- Worldwide gross: Rs 75.25 cr; overseas gross: Rs 12.20 cr
- Tickets sold on day 11: estimated 122,065; total: 4,370,173
How the run has shaped up
Ranabaali opened at Rs 9.25 cr on 16 October, followed by Rs 7.30 cr and Rs 7.50 cr over its first weekend. The first week closed at Rs 45.20 cr. Day 11’s Rs 1.25 cr is a long way from those opening numbers, but the second weekend did show some elasticity. The question is whether mid-week collections can hold above the Rs 1 cr floor.
Set in Rayalaseema during the Madras Famine of 1876–1878, the film follows a horseman leading a local resistance against British rule. It is a period drama built largely on the Telugu market, so its late-run fate will be decided there.
Why occupancy is the sharper signal
The Telugu version recorded 17.38% occupancy on Monday: 13.92% in the morning, 15.77% in the afternoon, 17.46% in the evening and 17.38% at night. For planners, this is a cleaner demand signal than gross, because it strips out changes in show count. An evening peak below 20% on a weekday points to a title depending mostly on core evening audiences.
The parallel cyber-complaint story
Separately, the actors’ team has approached Hyderabad Cyber Crime police over social media posts it describes as false and misleading. The complaint reportedly cites fabricated claims, doctored screenshots, impersonation and targeted harassment. That is a reminder that star-led releases now carry two risks: theatrical holds and an information environment that can drown out box-office reporting.
What to track next
The Rs 75.25 cr worldwide gross is a milestone, but the more useful numbers are the weekday holds and occupancy through Wednesday. If they compress further, the final domestic net may not travel far beyond the opening week unless a holiday or a pricing move lifts turnout.
