PVR INOX Sets Two Big Bollywood Dates

PVR INOX Pictures has given Bollywood exhibitors and media planners two firm dates to work with: Akshay Kumar’s Mauja Hi Mauja will arrive in cinemas towards the end of November, while Salman Khan’s Monster is now locked for Eid 2027. The confirmation came from Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Business Planning & Strategy at PVR INOX Limited and CEO of PVR INOX Pictures, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.

A distributor with a weekly rhythm

The Bollywood announcements sit alongside a busy Hollywood slate. Gianchandani said the company is having a strong year and that Primetime releases this Friday; he added, “almost every week, we have a PVR INOX Pictures film releasing.” That volume makes the distributor a recurring buyer of screens, marketing slots and release windows—not an occasional participant.

The Bollywood side of the slate now includes star-led theatrical titles. The company has previously handled distribution for films such as Sooryavanshi, 83, Article 370, Stree 2 and Singham Again, among others.

The two titles to track

  • Mauja Hi Mauja: late November. Stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna; directed by Anees Bazmee; produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations with Cape of Good Films.
  • Monster: Eid 2027. Stars Salman Khan, Nayanthara and Muzammil Ibrahim; directed by Vamshi Paidipally; presented by Dil Raju and produced by Shirish and Kuldeep Rathore, with Rafi Kazi as co-producer.

Why the timing matters

Mauja Hi Mauja was earlier scheduled for December 4, where it would have collided with Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha. The new late-November placement removes that clash; Eetha gets a solo window, while the Akshay Kumar title gets its own pre-December corridor. For media planners, any campaign built around the December 4 date must be shifted earlier.

Monster’s Eid 2027 placement is a long-lead signal. It tells brands and exhibitors that a major Salman Khan release is being positioned far in advance on a high-value holiday frame—useful for upfront planning, but also a reminder that early confirmations can still sit alongside a slate that changes.

What to watch

PVR INOX Pictures operates as both exhibitor and distributor, so its release decisions influence more than one company’s slate. When it picks a date, it is choosing where its own cinema network may direct screens and marketing energy. Tracking its Bollywood and Hollywood calendar together gives a cleaner read on how wide or crowded a window will be.
