Yami Gautam’s Nayyi Navelli is settling into a low-velocity second week. The Hindi horror-comedy added Rs 35 lakh net in India on Tuesday, October 27 — matching Monday’s figure — to reach Rs 25.30 crore India net and Rs 33.22 crore worldwide gross, according to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India.
What day 12 tells us
On its 12th day, the film ran 1,291 shows across India, sold an estimated 30,079 tickets and recorded 13.28% overall occupancy for the Hindi 2D version. Night shows were the bright spot at 21.31%, while morning occupancy was just 5.92%. Overseas contributed Rs 5 lakh on the day, taking the international gross to Rs 3.20 crore.
That is a long way from the opening burst. Day one brought Rs 3.25 crore from 6,281 shows; the first Sunday did Rs 4.40 crore, and day five hit Rs 4.35 crore. Week one closed at Rs 22.15 crore net.
- Week 1: Rs 22.15 crore India net in seven days
- Week 2 so far: Rs 3.15 crore India net in five days
- Show count: down 79% from 6,281 on day one to 1,291 on day 12
Why the hold matters
For the trade, week two is where the lifetime number is decided for a film of this scale. A Rs 4.35 crore Tuesday in week one has become a Rs 35 lakh Tuesday in week two, but the show count also reset sharply. Per-show average fell from roughly Rs 9,000 on day five to about Rs 2,700 on day 12 — a real softening, but not a collapse.
Worldwide, the split remains heavily domestic: India gross has reached Rs 30.02 crore, while overseas stands at Rs 3.20 crore — just under 10% of the total. For a Hindi comedy horror with no global event buzz, that is not unexpected, but it does limit the upside from international markets.
Media planners should read the occupancy curve, not the daily total alone. The late-night skew says the audience is still there for the horror-comedy promise, while daytime shows are underperforming. That is a scheduling signal: reduce low-yield daytime prints, protect night and weekend slots, and use advance-booking velocity to fine-tune the next set of shows.
The next test
Wednesday’s early advance suggests a floor, not a rebound. By 5 am, 16,270 tickets had been booked across 1,386 shows for gross revenue of Rs 35.85 lakh. That is broadly in line with Tuesday’s bookings at the same point, pointing to another modest weekday.
The weekend will be decisive. Week two opened at Rs 60 lakh on Friday, improved to Rs 90 lakh and Rs 95 lakh over Saturday and Sunday, then dropped to Rs 35 lakh on both Monday and Tuesday. If the coming Friday-to-Sunday stretch holds or improves, Nayyi Navelli can stretch its run; if not, it may have already banked most of its lifetime.
Nayyi Navelli is a 2026 Hindi comedy horror starring Yami Gautam, directed by Balaji Mohan in his Bollywood debut, from writers Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma. The story follows a bride whose arrival brings suspicious good fortune to a Meerut household.
The box-office data is compiled from public and industry sources and may be revised as official studio figures arrive.
