Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion pushed its worldwide gross to Rs 407 crore after eight days, according to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India. The film added Rs 14.50 crore in India net collections on its second Friday, taking its domestic net total to Rs 260 crore.
India gross stands at Rs 312 crore, while overseas markets added Rs 6 crore on Friday for a cumulative overseas gross of Rs 95 crore. The second Friday number matters because it rose rather than fell.
Second Friday turns the curve
Day 8 collections were 11.5% higher than Thursday’s Rs 13 crore. That is the signal media planners should watch: after the normal Monday-to-Thursday slide, a Friday that climbs suggests the title is still converting word of mouth into ticket sales.
- Opening Friday: Rs 62 crore
- Saturday: Rs 53.50 crore
- Sunday: Rs 61 crore
- Monday: Rs 21 crore
- Tuesday: Rs 19.50 crore
- Wednesday: Rs 15.50 crore
- Thursday: Rs 13 crore
- Second Friday: Rs 14.50 crore
The first week closed at Rs 245.50 crore in India net; Friday pushed the eight-day total to Rs 260 crore across 14,583 shows.
Occupancy and admissions
The Hindi 2D version recorded 17.87% overall occupancy on Friday. The curve was evening-heavy: 6.77% morning, 12.38% afternoon, 18.15% evening and 31.54% at night. That night-show peak is the number exhibitors can use for weekend screen planning.
Footfalls were 582,672 for the day, taking cumulative admissions past 10.7 million in eight days. For entertainment marketers, that is a reach benchmark against campaign impressions.
Why the franchise is holding
The third instalment keeps its morally complicated hero front and centre. Jaideep Ahlawat joins as Rajveer Tomar, a police officer who believes he has fresh evidence, and the film’s tension sits in lines such as “System ka darr bana rehna chahiye” and Vijay’s counter, “Agar hero jail mein gaya, toh audience ko accha lagega?”
The title has also drawn comparisons with the Malayalam original in early reviews. The second weekend will now show whether the Friday bump was momentum or a one-day lift.
