Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 has given the Hindi franchise its best box-office result. The film added ₹26.50 crore net in India on Day 9, according to Sacnilk, an 82.8% jump from Friday’s ₹14.50 crore. The worldwide total now stands at ₹446.80 crore.
The number is more than a milestone. It reframes the commercial ceiling of the Drishyam series and leaves the film with one clear question for the next week: can a second-weekend rebound hold into weekdays?
The second-Saturday swing
The week had softened sharply before Saturday. After a ₹62 crore opening day on October 2, the film took ₹53.50 crore on Day 2 and ₹61 crore on Day 3, slowed to ₹13 crore on Thursday, then recovered to ₹14.50 crore on Friday and ₹26.50 crore on Saturday.
- Day 1: ₹62 crore
- Day 2: ₹53.50 crore
- Day 3: ₹61 crore
- Thursday: ₹13 crore
- Saturday, Day 9: ₹26.50 crore
Day 9 occupancy was 33.46% overall, with night shows the strongest at 46.23%. Overseas added ₹8 crore on the day, taking the international gross to ₹103 crore. The India gross after nine days is ₹343.80 crore against a net of ₹286.50 crore.
A new high-water mark for the franchise
The ₹446.80 crore worldwide figure moves Drishyam 3 past two major Devgn titles: Singham Again (₹389 crore lifetime worldwide) and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (₹367 crore). It also overtakes the two earlier Hindi Drishyam films, making this the highest-grossing instalment of the series.
For the trade, that is the central signal. The Drishyam IP has moved from a reliable narrative-driven performer to the top of Devgn’s commercial chart. A franchise record gives marketers a sharper claim than a generic blockbuster tag.
The ranking complicates the story
Even with the record, Drishyam 3 is fourth in Bollywood’s 2026 India net rankings, behind Dhurandhar 2, Border 2 and Hanuman Ansh. That gap matters for media planners. A film can be the biggest entry in its own series and still not lead the calendar.
The second-Saturday jump shows demand has not run out, but occupancy is moderate outside night shows. The practical read is to treat the ₹450 crore mark as close, not guaranteed, and to watch whether the Saturday bump converts into a stable weekday hold.
