Hanuman Ansh hits Rs 347.05 crore worldwide after a 41% Sunday jump

Vishal Chaturvedi’s Hanuman Ansh is showing how a faith-led title can build late in its run. On its 45th day, the Hindi spiritual drama collected Rs 13.75 crore net in India, up 41% from Saturday’s Rs 9.75 crore, according to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India. The Sunday result pushes the film’s India net total to Rs 271.88 crore and domestic gross to Rs 321.05 crore.

Sunday growth and the three-day climb

Day 45’s result came from 7,628 shows and an overall Hindi 2D occupancy of 45.46%. Evening screenings led with 62.23% occupancy, followed by afternoon shows at 54.54%. The weekend climb tells the more useful story:

  • Day 43 (Friday): Rs 5.00 crore net, 6,462 shows, 18.0% occupancy
  • Day 44 (Saturday): Rs 9.75 crore net, 7,119 shows, 30.0% occupancy
  • Day 45 (Sunday): Rs 13.75 crore net, 7,628 shows, 40.0% occupancy

The Sunday collection nearly tripled Friday’s number while show count rose only about 18%. The implied screen average is roughly Rs 1.8 lakh per show, a healthy figure for a title in its seventh weekend.

Why the weekly curve matters

The film’s opening weeks were small. It collected Rs 1.08 crore in week one and Rs 0.40 crore in week two. The curve changed from week three, moving to Rs 10.40 crore, then Rs 61.00 crore in week four, Rs 90.25 crore in week five and Rs 80.25 crore in week six. Week five alone was more than 80 times the opening-week total. This is not a front-loaded event film; it is a title that has kept adding shows and converting word of mouth into ticket sales.

For entertainment marketers, the pattern resembles a campaign with a slow discovery phase rather than a blockbuster launch. The occupancy split supports that reading: evening and afternoon shows are doing the heavy lifting, while mornings remain the softest daypart at 27.85%.

What the total means

The film added Rs 1.50 crore from overseas on day 45, taking its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 26.00 crore. Combined with domestic gross, the worldwide number now stands at Rs 347.05 crore. Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film stars Shobhinaw Satyaa and Vihaan Shedge and follows the spiritual journey that leads to Neem Karoli Baba.

The takeaway for distributors and media planners is not to write off a niche faith-led title after two quiet weekends. When demand is visible, expanding show density can unlock meaningful late-run value.
