Faith-led release Hanuman Ansh has crossed ₹300 crore India gross, adding ₹9.75 crore on its 44th day—the seventh Saturday—as reported by Sacnilk and cited by Bhaskar English. Total India gross is ₹304.80 crore while India net is ₹258.13 crore. Overseas adds ₹24.50 crore, taking worldwide gross to ₹329.30 crore.
Hanuman Ansh: a ₹300 crore India gross in week seven
That spread between net and gross matters for media planners and distributors. In Indian box-office reporting, net typically strips out ticket taxes, while gross is the collection including those taxes. The net number is the one closer to realisable revenue for the value chain.
A ₹300 crore India gross for a film based on Sant Neem Karoli Baba, rather than an established action franchise, shows how far a positive word-of-mouth cycle can extend a release. Trade expert Taran Adarsh noted in the report: “If you look at the collections, from the first day until now, they are historic.” He credited content and positive reviews for the film’s staying power.
Mirzapur: The Movie enters the ₹300 crore worldwide club
The Pankaj Tripathi-led Mirzapur: The Movie earned ₹4.50 crore on Saturday. India net reached ₹210.70 crore, India gross ₹250.94 crore, and with ₹51.25 crore overseas the worldwide gross is now ₹302.19 crore.
For platforms, this is a useful signal for known streaming IP transferring to theatres. Mirzapur carries existing OTT equity; its theatrical performance demonstrates that streamer-origin brands can generate meaningful box-office revenue when a film window is chosen.
However, the contrast with Hanuman Ansh is sharp. Hanuman Ansh is still earning ₹9.75 crore on day 44, while Mirzapur’s Saturday number is ₹4.50 crore. Longevity is currently stronger for the non-franchise, content-led title.
New releases: Vibe and Daayra improve on Saturday
Both Friday openers improved on their second day, though at a much lower base:
- Vibe: ₹2.65 crore net on Saturday versus ₹1.70 crore on Friday; India total net ₹4.35 crore, gross ₹5.22 crore.
- Daayra: ₹1.60 crore net on Saturday versus ₹1 crore on Friday; India total net ₹2.60 crore, gross ₹3.10 crore.
The day-two improvement is directionally good, but neither film is yet showing breakout velocity. Sunday holds and Monday retention will tell whether these titles can expand screenings or will lose shows to the stronger holdovers.
What to watch next
For exhibition, distribution and media-planning teams, Hanuman Ansh is the clearest case study: a low-budget, audience-trusted title converting word of mouth into a seventh-week run that still produces top-tier daily numbers. The box-office lesson is that lifetime value can be created well after the opening weekend if reviews and audience sentiment align.
For next week, the key metrics are whether Hanuman Ansh can maintain its weekend pace, whether Mirzapur’s overseas share keeps growing, and whether Vibe or Daayra can convert Saturday’s bump into a sustainable hold.
