Hanuman Ansh crosses Rs 300 crore on Day 55

Hanuman Ansh has crossed Rs. 300 crore in India net box office on Day 55, finishing one of 2026’s most unusual theatrical runs. Wednesday, September 30, added Rs. 1.56 crore to take the total to Rs. 301.40 crore. That figure was 33.9% lower than Tuesday’s Rs. 2.36 crore, a routine midweek dip at this stage.

The real story is the curve. The film opened at just Rs. 0.10 crore on Day 1 and posted Rs. 1.07 crore in its opening week. Week 2 was even smaller at Rs. 0.50 crore. From there, the trajectory moved in the opposite direction:

  • Week 3: Rs. 11.09 crore
  • Week 4: Rs. 62.15 crore
  • Week 5: Rs. 90.65 crore
  • Week 6: Rs. 76.37 crore
  • Week 7: Rs. 39.41 crore
  • Eighth weekend: Rs. 14.57 crore

A standard theatrical title is front-loaded; the opening weekend does much of the heavy lifting. Hanuman Ansh found its audience later, and the Week 3 jump is the inflection point. The Week 5 peak of Rs. 90.65 crore was higher than anything the first two weeks suggested.

Why this matters for media planners

For film marketers and media planners, the Rs. 0.10 crore-to-Rs. 301.40 crore path shows that early box office data measures release energy, not total demand. A low opening should prompt a look at sentiment, social chatter and retention before budgets or screen support are pulled. Week-over-week change can be a stronger signal than the first weekend multiple.

For content buyers, the run also changes how a title may be evaluated later. A film that proves late-stage demand is a different asset from one that burns out after a big opening. The late run does not erase the importance of opening-day data, but it shows that later data can override an early verdict.

What to watch next

The title is still active; Day 56 is live. The Rs. 39.41 crore Week 7 and Rs. 14.57 crore eighth weekend collections suggest there is still spendable audience interest after the Rs. 300 crore mark. The next question is how far the tail can run now that the milestone is done.
