Fifteen days after release, Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali has topped Rs 79 crore worldwide. The day-level data, though, shows an audience that is thinning out fast.
The Day 15 math
According to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India, Ranabaali has collected Rs 79.13 crore gross worldwide. Domestic net collection stands at Rs 57.50 crore, India gross at Rs 66.78 crore, and overseas gross at Rs 12.35 crore.
On day 15, Friday, the film added just Rs 20 lakh net in India across 512 shows. That is a 78.9% drop from Thursday’s Rs 95 lakh. An estimated 18,453 tickets were sold, taking cumulative admissions to 46,98,077. The biggest single day remains opening day at Rs 9.25 crore.
Week-by-week fade
- Week 1: Rs 45.20 crore net, Rs 52.55 crore gross
- Week 2: Rs 12.10 crore net, Rs 14.00 crore gross
- Week 3, day 15: Rs 20 lakh net, Rs 23 lakh gross
- 15-day total: Rs 57.50 crore net, Rs 66.78 crore gross
The first week did roughly 79% of the 15-day net total. Week two fell 73.2% from week one, and the third week has opened quietly.
The Kingdom benchmark
Ranabaali is not competing only with itself. Vijay Deverakonda’s previous film, Kingdom, had grossed Rs 81.42 crore worldwide by its own 15th day, putting Ranabaali behind by Rs 2.29 crore. Kingdom’s day 15 was smaller — Rs 3 lakh net in India — but it entered the day with a stronger base: Rs 47.35 crore net in week one and Rs 4.60 crore in week two, plus Rs 21.25 crore from overseas.
Occupancy sharpens the contrast. Ranabaali recorded 9.90% overall occupancy on day 15 across 512 shows. Kingdom recorded 18% occupancy on its 15th day across 818 shows, with about 2,803 footfalls.
That flips the obvious reading: Ranabaali’s day 15 daily number is better, but the total is behind because the opening fortnight left less in the bank.
What to watch next
For media planners and box office trackers, this is now a weekend story. With evening and night shows performing better than morning — 12.18% night occupancy versus 7.91% morning — any recovery depends on whether the third weekend can pull audiences back. The source notes these figures are approximate and may change as studio updates come in.
The takeaway for distribution teams is not the Rs 79 crore headline but the shape of the curve: a strong first week, a sharp second-week correction, and a thin start to week three. That pattern will not support a long tail unless the weekend reverses it.
