VIBE hits Rs 14.43 cr worldwide in 6 days

Six days in, Kunal Kemmu’s VIBE is holding a weekday floor of roughly Rs 1 crore rather than sliding sharply after its opening weekend. The Hindi action-comedy, which released in India on 18 September 2026, has grossed Rs 14.43 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India.

India net collection stands at Rs 10.45 crore. On Wednesday, the film collected Rs 1 crore from 2,431 shows across the country, a 9.1% drop from the Rs 1.10 crore recorded the previous day.

Six-day box-office curve

The film opened at Rs 1.70 crore on its first Friday and built through the first weekend.

  • Day 1, Friday: Rs 1.70 cr
  • Day 2, Saturday: Rs 2.75 cr
  • Day 3, Sunday: Rs 3.00 cr
  • Day 4, Monday: Rs 90 lakh
  • Day 5, Tuesday: Rs 1.10 cr
  • Day 6, Wednesday: Rs 1.00 cr

India gross has reached Rs 12.48 crore. Overseas markets have added Rs 1.95 crore in gross, including Rs 20 lakh on Day 6, taking the worldwide gross to Rs 14.43 crore.

Net vs gross, briefly

In box-office reporting, net collection is the number after entertainment tax is deducted, while gross is the full value of tickets sold. The gap between Rs 10.45 crore in India net and Rs 12.48 crore in India gross reflects that difference; worldwide gross combines the India gross with the Rs 1.95 crore overseas gross.

What occupancy shows

The Day 6 Hindi 2D average occupancy was 11.55%. It rose through the day: 6.46% in morning shows, 10.38% in afternoon shows, 13.15% in evening shows and a high of 14.62% at night.

For distribution and marketing teams, the night-led curve suggests the film is not leaning on family matinee traffic midweek; the audience is showing up later in the day. That makes evening and late shows the more efficient places to concentrate second-week marketing.

What to watch next

VIBE is directed and written by Kunal Kemmu, and stars Kemmu, Preity Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava and Vanshika Dhir. It is a spin-off of Kemmu’s earlier directorial outing. Critics have given the film mixed-to-positive reviews.

The key indicator now is not a single midweek dip but whether the film can hold its show count into the second weekend. Monday’s Rs 90 lakh and Wednesday’s Rs 1 crore establish a weekday baseline; the second Friday number and any reduction in theatre count will show how much longer the film can convert a modest hold into a longer theatrical run.

For film-business readers, the 9.1% Tuesday-to-Wednesday change is a normal midweek movement after a Sunday peak. The more meaningful test is whether weekday collections stay near this level while screens remain available.
