Kunal Khemu’s action-comedy VIBE collected Rs 33 lakh net in India on Tuesday, September 29, its twelfth day in cinemas, according to data compiled by Sacnilk and reported by The Times of India. That is 32% higher than Monday, but the base was small: the film managed Rs 20 lakh a day earlier. On day 12, it played roughly 515 shows, and the Hindi release is still running after its first week.
The 12-day India net total now stands at Rs 14.13 crore, with gross collections of Rs 16.84 crore.
Week two: weekend recovery, Monday drop
The second-week curve follows a standard theatrical rhythm. Friday, September 25 opened with Rs 50 lakh net from 485 shows at 26% occupancy. Saturday and Sunday each added Rs 90 lakh, with occupancy rising to 40% and 42% across 511 and 521 shows respectively. Monday then fell to Rs 20 lakh from 519 shows at 14% occupancy.

A 32% jump from Monday reads well, but Rs 33 lakh is still below the Rs 50 lakh Friday level. For film-business readers, the more useful signal is whether the title can hold screens and rebuild occupancy into the next weekend. VIBE is Kunal Khemu’s second film as writer-director after Madgaon Express (2024), and his first as producer. It stars Preity Zinta and Sparsh Shrivastava, and marks the acting debut of Vanshika Dhir. Viewer response has been positive, but the third Friday will be the cleaner test of momentum.
