Nani and director Srikanth Odela’s action thriller The Paradise has crossed the Rs 110 crore India net mark and is estimated to have reached Rs 162 crore worldwide gross as it enters its second weekend. The headline number is strong, but the day-wise trend points to a film that opened with force and has since cooled.
Day 10: the live estimate
Sacnilk’s early Day 10 estimate is Rs 59 lakh from 645 shows, with overall occupancy at 18.50%. The running India net total is Rs 111.59 crore, India gross is Rs 131.75 crore, and overseas gross has reached Rs 30.95 crore.
The day-wise curve shows the shape of the decline:
- Day 0 special screening: Rs 11.60 crore
- Day 1: Rs 34.65 crore
- Day 2: Rs 14.90 crore
- Day 3: Rs 15.25 crore
- Day 4: Rs 15.70 crore
- Day 5: Rs 5 crore
- Day 6: Rs 4.40 crore
- Day 7: Rs 3.40 crore
- Day 8: Rs 3.30 crore
- Day 9: Rs 2.80 crore
- Day 10 live: Rs 59 lakh
A front-loaded run
The Paradise had a strong opening weekend. Day 0 through Day 4 combined to Rs 92.10 crore, roughly 82% of the current India net total. That is a front-loaded pattern: a large chunk of the audience arrived early, and collections fell steeply once the initial demand was spent. The film has faced criticism and mixed reviews from audiences, which has shown up in the post-opening collections.
The film is the second collaboration between Nani and Srikanth Odela after Dasara. It released theatrically on September 24 across multiple languages. The cast includes Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal making his Telugu debut, Mohan Babu as the antagonist, Sonali Kulkarni and Sampoornesh Babu in key roles, with Keerthy Suresh in a special appearance.
Why the second weekend matters
For distribution and marketing teams, the opening weekend measures campaign reach, star pull and release scale. The Day 5-plus hold measures product acceptance. Once a film enters weekday territory, every additional rupee is harder to earn because screen counts and show times respond to occupancy. At 18.50% occupancy and a live Day 10 estimate below Day 9’s Rs 2.80 crore, the second Friday will show whether exhibitors hold screens or begin trimming.
Overseas gross is another stabiliser. At Rs 30.95 crore, it accounts for nearly a fifth of the estimated Rs 162 crore worldwide gross. If domestic holds stay weak, overseas additions become even more important.
What to watch through Sunday
- Second Friday final and whether the Rs 59 lakh live figure is revised upward.
- Occupancy and any change in the 645-show count.
- Overseas additions, which have kept the worldwide total moving.
- Day 5-plus trends, not the cumulative milestone, as the real signal.
