All 156 Episodes of The Neighborhood Hit US Netflix Nov. 5

Netflix is adding a large piece of broadcast comedy to its US catalog. All eight seasons of The Neighborhood—expected to run to 156 episodes—are scheduled to land on Wednesday, November 5, 2026, six months after the CBS series aired its final episode in May 2026.

This is the first time the sitcom has streamed on Netflix in the United States. Rather than arriving week to week, the full batch is expected to drop together, making it one of the larger sitcom libraries Netflix has added this year.

A 2026 habit, not a one-off

The show joins a steady line of network comedies Netflix has been stacking throughout the year.

  • Black-ish arrived in January
  • Suburgatory followed in February
  • CBS comedy Mike & Molly landed in March
  • NBC’s St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place joined in April

Created by Jim Reynolds, The Neighborhood premiered on CBS in October 2018. Max Greenfield stars as Dave Johnson, an extremely friendly Midwesterner who moves his family to a mostly Black neighborhood in Pasadena. Cedric the Entertainer plays Calvin Butler, the neighbor who does not appreciate Dave’s enthusiasm. The culture-clash premise becomes a story of two families turning into close friends. Almost every episode title starts with “Welcome to…”, a consistent format that helps fans navigate an eight-season library.

Why the catalogue math works

For Netflix, finished sitcoms are low-risk retention inventory. There is no production wait, the episode count is large, and the titles arrive with existing fan recognition. A 156-episode library gives subscribers a long, familiar binge option between bigger original premieres.

The Paramount angle matters too. Netflix has been working through a roughly 20-show licensing deal announced in January; SEAL Team arrived in August and Mayor of Kingstown landed earlier this week. It is not yet confirmed whether The Neighborhood is part of that package or a separate agreement.

Most of those Paramount pacts are non-exclusive, so The Neighborhood is expected to remain on Paramount+ after it reaches Netflix. For media planners, that means the show should be treated as dual-platform inventory, not a Netflix exclusive.

Spin-off status

CBS shot a Marty and Malcolm spin-off pilot and aired it as the lead-in to the season 7 finale in 2025, but the network passed. Calvin’s cousin Crutch, played by Tracy Morgan, got a Paramount+ comedy called Crutch, but there is no indication it will move to Netflix soon. Only the US launch has been confirmed so far.
