Rs 14.15 cr India net after a 43.2% Monday drop

Yami Gautam’s Nayyi Navelli cleared its first Monday with a correction, not a crash. The Hindi comedy-horror collected Rs 2.50 cr on Monday, 19 October, across 4,804 shows — down 43.2% from Sunday’s Rs 4.40 cr, as per Sacnilk figures cited by The Times of India.

Four days in, the India net collection stands at Rs 14.15 cr. Domestic gross is Rs 16.85 cr, while overseas added Rs 0.25 cr on Monday to reach Rs 2.25 cr. That puts worldwide gross at Rs 19.10 cr.

Weekend built, Monday corrected

The film opened at Rs 3.25 cr on Friday, rose to Rs 4 cr on Saturday and Rs 4.40 cr on Sunday. That is a healthy upward curve; Monday becomes the first true measure of weekday demand.

  • Friday: Rs 3.25 cr from 6,281 shows
  • Saturday: Rs 4 cr from 5,945 shows
  • Sunday: Rs 4.40 cr from 5,546 shows
  • Monday: Rs 2.50 cr from 4,804 shows

What the Monday number says

Monday’s Rs 2.50 cr is roughly 77% of the Friday number, which suggests audience interest has not fallen away sharply. The Sunday-to-Monday percentage is less important than whether Tuesday holds anywhere near Monday’s level.

The occupancy split points to an evening-led film. Monday’s overall occupancy was 18.33%, with night shows strongest at 26.08%, afternoon at 22.08% and evening at 21.77%. Morning shows were thin at 6.38%. Day-four footfalls were 135,173, taking the cumulative count to 672,956.

Why this matters for film business teams

For a mid-scale title without an event-driven opening, weekday legs decide how distribution economics and eventual streaming valuation look. The first Monday separates weekend sampling from word-of-mouth demand. If Nayyi Navelli can hold midweek, it protects its show count into the second weekend.

Directed by Balaji Mohan in his Bollywood debut, the film stars Yami Gautam as Mohini, a new bride whose unsettling perfection pulls the story from domestic comedy toward supernatural suspense. The supporting cast includes Addinath M. Kothare, Mita Vashisht, Sunita Rajwar and Sonal Jha.

The number to track next is Tuesday. If collections stay near Monday’s Rs 2.50 cr, the film has a chance to consolidate; a further slide would put second-weekend screens under pressure.
