Drishyam The Conclusion has opened day five on a steady but unremarkable note, collecting Rs 2.21 crore nett by early afternoon. Around 95,000 tickets were sold across 4,320 shows in 539 cities and 1,475 venues, with overall occupancy at 10 per cent. The morning average was a shade higher at 10.9 per cent, while the afternoon slot had begun at 9 per cent.
Because evening and night shows were still to start, this is only a partial sample. On a working day, that is where the bulk of the business lands, and the final day-five figure should be read only after the late shows report.
State and city mix
Maharashtra remains the film’s anchor market. It contributed Rs 66.94 lakh, or 30.3 per cent of the early total, from 28,983 tickets. NCR followed with Rs 48.54 lakh (22 per cent), and Rajasthan was third with Rs 14.55 lakh at a stronger 14.6 per cent occupancy among the top three states.
- Maharashtra: Rs 66.94 lakh from 28,983 tickets
- NCR: Rs 48.54 lakh
- Rajasthan: Rs 14.55 lakh, 14.6 per cent occupancy
At the city level, Mumbai led with Rs 27.40 lakh from 11,508 tickets across 322 shows. Delhi was second with Rs 24.38 lakh from only 194 shows, giving it the best occupancy of the top three cities at 17 per cent. Pune took third place with Rs 19.26 lakh from 8,143 tickets.
The exhibitor view
PVR led national chains with Rs 63.98 lakh, about 29 per cent of the partial total, across 152 venues at 16.1 per cent occupancy. INOX recorded Rs 46.20 lakh at 13.5 per cent, and Cinepolis followed with Rs 17.37 lakh at 10.7 per cent.
For distribution teams, the number to watch is the evening occupancy curve, not the afternoon total. If the night shows fail to lift occupancy past the morning average, a fast weekday correction is likely; if Delhi and Mumbai hold through the late slot, urban demand is still intact.
