The third Saturday was always going to be the test for Drishyam 3: The Conclusion. After the expected drop from its first-week highs, the question was whether weekend demand would return or whether the film had already exhausted its core audience. Saturday’s numbers give an answer: it bounced.
Day 16: Rs 5 crore net, higher than Friday
The Ajay Devgn-led crime thriller collected Rs 5 crore in India net on its 16th day, a 61.3% increase over Friday’s Rs 3.10 crore. It played across 4,137 shows, slightly fewer than Friday’s 4,157, which makes the jump more meaningful: the film earned more from a marginally smaller footprint.
Worldwide gross now stands at Rs 528.77 crore. India gross is Rs 408.77 crore, while overseas markets have contributed Rs 120 crore. Day 16 added Rs 2.50 crore from international markets.
The trajectory behind the total
The headline number hides the shape of the run. The film opened at Rs 62 crore on October 2, followed by Rs 53.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 61 crore on Sunday. It closed its first week at Rs 245.50 crore in India net. The second week contributed Rs 87.50 crore, taking the cumulative domestic net to Rs 333 crore by Day 14.
After a Rs 3.10 crore third Friday, Saturday recovered to Rs 5 crore, lifting the India net total to Rs 341.10 crore. That sequence points to a holdover title that is still responsive to the weekend cycle rather than one sliding steadily out of theatres.
What occupancy shows
Saturday’s occupancy offered a simple demand map. Overall Hindi 2D occupancy was 35.52%, but the day was back-loaded:
- Morning shows: 18.92%
- Afternoon shows: 33%
- Evening shows: 35.31%
- Night shows: 42.15%
Footfalls on Day 16 stood at 224,413, lifting the 16-day cumulative to 14,524,984. For exhibitors, the night-show peak is the lever: this is a title that can make money in late weekend slots even when daytime capacity is under-used.
Why the hold matters
For distributors and theatre programmers, a third-weekend recovery is a signal to protect premium and night shows longer. For entertainment marketers, the run is a reminder that scheduling matters as much as raw screen count; demand is not uniform across the day.
Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, directed and produced by Abhishek Pathak, continues from Drishyam 2 (2022) but follows an original storyline separate from the Malayalam films. Alongside Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, the cast includes Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav.
Box-office figures are compiled from public and industry sources and remain approximate until official studio data is finalised.
