Drishyam 3 worldwide gross hits Rs 564.95 cr after day 22

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is now four weeks into its run, and the box-office conversation has shifted from opening-week firepower to how long the tail can hold. On Friday, October 23—day 22—the film added Rs 1.40 crore net in India, a 33.3% drop from Thursday’s Rs 2.10 crore.

The day’s release was built on 2,322 shows and an estimated 67,215 tickets sold, according to Sacnilk data reported by The Times of India. That is a modest daily number for a film of this scale, but it still moves the cumulative totals.

Where the totals stand

After the fourth Friday, the India net collection stands at Rs 363.25 crore, with domestic gross at Rs 435.20 crore. Overseas added Rs 25 lakh on Friday, taking the international gross to Rs 129.75 crore. Together, the worldwide gross is now Rs 564.95 crore.

  • Day 22 India net: Rs 1.40 crore, down 33.3% from Rs 2.10 crore on Thursday.
  • Cumulative India net: Rs 363.25 crore; domestic gross: Rs 435.20 crore.
  • Overseas gross: Rs 129.75 crore; worldwide gross: Rs 564.95 crore.
  • Reported footfalls across the theatrical run: 15,645,119 tickets.

The slowdown is visible in the weekly stack

Week one delivered Rs 245.50 crore, week two added Rs 87.50 crore, and week three contributed Rs 28.85 crore. By day 22, the film is collecting in the low single digits on weekdays, so the growth phase is largely over. The remaining value is in weekend bumps and late shows.

That pattern shows up clearly in occupancy. The Hindi 2D version recorded 19.85% overall occupancy on Friday. Morning shows were quiet at 7.50%, but evening shows climbed to 22.75%, and night shows reached 31.75%. For exhibitors, Drishyam 3 is now a late-evening title.

Why the tail still matters

For a blockbuster that has already passed Rs 500 crore worldwide, every extra crore is high-margin revenue. The Rs 25 lakh overseas addition on Friday is small, but it confirms that international screens remain active. The next milestone to track is Rs 600 crore worldwide, and the India net versus overseas gross mix will determine how it gets there.

Drishyam 3 continues the Vijay Salgaonkar story with Meera Deshmukh returning for revenge and a new Crime Branch officer testing his alibis. That franchise pull has done its job; the remaining run is less about story and more about screen programming.

What to do with this number

For distribution and exhibition teams, the practical read is to protect night and weekend showtimes and trim daytime screens. Media planners should note that the audience still turning up is evening-heavy, so late-slot and weekend promotions are the better use of the remaining marketing budget. Don’t benchmark this phase against the first two weeks; benchmark it against the cost of keeping a screen lit.
