Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has moved into the part of the box-office curve that separates a strong opening from a durable run. Early Day 12 tracking, reported by The Times of India citing Sacnilk, shows the film running across 5,412 shows and adding Rs 1.50 crore net by the time of the live update.
That takes the India net to Rs 316.75 crore and the India gross to Rs 380.01 crore. With overseas collections reported through Day 11, the worldwide gross stood at Rs 489.74 crore. The final Day 12 domestic figure and the fresh overseas numbers are still to be tallied.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the final chapter stars Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav returning, and Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj joining the ensemble.
The shape of the run
The opening week did the heavy lifting: Rs 245.50 crore net and Rs 294.60 crore gross. The second weekend then gave the film a fresh push.
- Day 8: Rs 14.50 crore
- Day 9: Rs 26.50 crore
- Day 10: Rs 22.50 crore
- Day 11: Rs 6.25 crore
- Day 12 live: Rs 1.50 crore
The Monday drop was expected. What matters now is whether the midweek number stabilises above a token collection, because that is the difference between a film that is coasting and a film that is still converting word of mouth into ticket sales.
What the hold signals
For media planners and entertainment marketers, a second-week hold is more useful than the opening number. The opening weekend is largely a function of advance bookings, franchise equity and marketing intensity. The second week is closer to audience response: are people telling others to watch?
Across the four fully reported second-week days—Day 8 through Day 11—the film added Rs 69.75 crore. With the Rs 1.50 crore Day 12 partial, the second-week contribution so far is roughly Rs 71.25 crore, about 29 percent of the first-week net. That is a solid retention marker for a franchise finale that opened wide.
Overseas, the picture is steady rather than spectacular. Week one delivered Rs 89 crore. Subsequent days added Rs 6 crore, Rs 8 crore, Rs 6 crore and Rs 2.50 crore, taking the overseas gross to Rs 111.50 crore by Day 11.
The Rs 500 crore question
The combined worldwide gross of Rs 489.74 crore puts the Rs 500 crore global threshold within reach. On the domestic side, the next marker is Rs 325 crore India net. The runway, however, is limited: the Rajkummar Rao-led Prahaar and the Yami Gautam-led Nayyi Navelli are the next major releases that will compete for show count.
The immediate indicator is the next 24 to 48 hours. If the film holds its midweek floor before the new titles arrive, the milestone is realistic. If the weekdays flatten further, the global target will depend on how many screens it keeps and how much overseas strength remains.
For the value chain, this closing chapter is behaving like an asset, not just a theatrical event. Streaming and satellite buyers are likely to read steady second-week demand as a signal of long-tail licensing value.
