Drishyam 3 hits Rs 168.91 crore India net in 3 days

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is giving the trade what a franchise finale should: a weekend that holds rather than spikes and vanishes. The Ajay Devgn-starrer added Rs 53.41 crore India net on Day 3, pushing its three-day India net total to Rs 168.91 crore, according to live figures from Sacnilk. India gross has crossed Rs 201.62 crore.

Day-wise, the curve is steady

  • Day 1 (Oct 2): Rs 62 crore net; 60.1% occupancy across 15,759 shows.
  • Day 2: Rs 53.50 crore net; 48.1% occupancy across 16,868 shows.
  • Day 3: Rs 53.41 crore net; 56% occupancy across 15,112 shows (live).

Sunday was essentially flat against Saturday, slipping only from the higher opening-day base. A Rs 62 crore opening settling into the Rs 53 crore band is a far better signal for distributors than a steep Saturday slide. Occupancy improved from 48.1% to 56% even though the show count fell.

An opening-day rank that needs qualification

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh places the film as the fourth-highest Day 1 grosser among films that opened above Rs 50 crore, behind Dhurandhar 2 at Rs 140 crore including previews, Pushpa 2 Hindi at Rs 72 crore and Jawan at Rs 65.50 crore. It misses the Rs 100 crore opening-day club but sits inside the top 10 Day 1 totals above Rs 50 crore.

Why the hold matters for the screen business

Adarsh’s review is unusually direct: “OUTSTANDING,” four-and-a-half stars, and the “best film in the Drishyam franchise.” The highlights he names are precise, repeatable moments: the Ajay Devgn-Jaideep Ahlawat pre-interval face-off, the courtroom sequences and the finale. That matters for marketing teams. A well-reviewed finale with specific set-piece scenes gives material for second-weekend creative rather than generic “blockbuster” messaging.

For media planners, the number to track next is not the Sunday total but Monday’s hold. The live Day 3 number means the three-day total can still shift slightly, but the structural story is already clear. With a 2-hour-30-minute runtime and a U/A certificate, this is a mass-market thriller where occupancy is the key operational metric as the first weekend ends.
