The first weekday after a film’s opening weekend is often more revealing than the weekend itself. For Ranabaali, the Telugu period action drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, Monday’s live numbers show the expected slowdown—and set the bar for the rest of the week.
Where the Monday numbers stand
As per live data shared by Sacnilk on October 19, the film collected Rs 3.77 crore net in India on Day 4 so far. It was running across 1,694 shows with 44% occupancy. The day’s figures were still being updated, so the final Monday number could move.
The running total after Day 4 stood at Rs 27.82 crore net in India and Rs 32.45 crore gross. For context, the film collected Rs 7.30 crore net on Day 2 and Rs 7.50 crore net on Day 3, so Monday is tracking well below weekend levels.
Why Monday is the real test
Weekend collections capture opening demand: fan rush, advance bookings and holiday viewing. Monday is where a film shows whether it can draw working-day audiences beyond the core fan base. The 44% occupancy and Rs 3.77 crore live collection are early signals of how wide the film’s appeal really is.
For distributors and media planners, the key metric now is the drop from Sunday to Monday. A softer decline would suggest the film is holding beyond its initial audience; a steeper one points to front-loading.
- Day 2 final: Rs 7.30 crore net
- Day 3 final: Rs 7.50 crore net
- Day 4 live so far: Rs 3.77 crore net
The film behind the numbers
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is set during the Great Madras Famine of 1876-1878 and is described as a fictionalised retelling of that period. Deverakonda plays Ranabaali, a tribal warrior who rises against British rule, while Mandanna plays Jayamma, his wife. Arnold Vosloo plays the British antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector.
This is also the first theatrical release featuring Deverakonda and Mandanna since their wedding in February 2026, which has added to audience interest. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series Films.
What to watch next
The final Monday figure, and Tuesday’s trend, will show whether the weekday slip is manageable. If the film stabilises around the Rs 3-4 crore net range on working days, it can keep adding before the next weekend. A further slide would make the Rs 30 crore India net mark slower to reach, even though it is now close.
