Drishyam 3 crosses Rs 501.80 cr worldwide on day 12

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has crossed Rs 500 crore worldwide gross on its 12th day in theatres, according to box office figures reported by Sacnilk and compiled by The Times of India. The film added Rs 8.50 crore net in India on Tuesday, a 41.7% jump over Monday’s Rs 6 crore.

The Tuesday rebound pushed the thriller’s total India net to Rs 323.50 crore and domestic gross to Rs 387.80 crore. Overseas added Rs 2.50 crore on day 12, lifting the international gross to Rs 114 crore and the worldwide gross to Rs 501.80 crore.

  • Tuesday India net: Rs 8.50 crore, up from Rs 6 crore on Monday
  • Shows on Tuesday: 14,846
  • Cumulative India net: Rs 323.50 crore
  • Worldwide gross: Rs 501.80 crore
  • Tuesday footfalls: 607,519

The recovery behind the milestone

After a sharp second-Monday fall, Tuesday’s gain is the data point to watch. The Hindi 2D version recorded 17.21% overall occupancy, but demand built through the day: 7.23% morning, 18.38% evening and 27.92% night. The film recorded 607,519 footfalls on Tuesday, taking cumulative admissions to 13,630,503.

For media planners, the occupancy curve is a segmentation signal. The title is behaving like a post-work and family outing, not a uniform day-long attraction. Campaigns and show allocations should follow the evening skew; morning shows may be cheap inventory rather than demand.

How the run has shaped up

The film opened on October 2 with Rs 62 crore net, followed by Rs 53.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 61 crore on Sunday. First-week India net closed at Rs 245.50 crore. The second weekend brought Rs 14.50 crore on Friday, Rs 26.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 22.50 crore on Sunday before Monday’s Rs 6 crore and Tuesday’s Rs 8.50 crore.

That puts Drishyam 3: The Conclusion in the Rs 500 crore worldwide club while its second week is still running. The franchise’s final chapter is holding weekday value even as the initial weekend surge normalises.

The signal for entertainment marketers

Mohanlal, who led the original Malayalam Drishyam franchise, praised the Hindi cast and crew in a video shared by the makers. “I watched Drishyam: The Conclusion, and I am truly impressed with the way they have brought this much-loved journey to a befitting end,” he said.

For media planners, the milestone is a reminder that franchise finales can sustain theatrical attention, but the real measure now is incremental weekday recovery. The Tuesday bump of 41.7% against a low Monday base matters more for momentum than the headline Rs 500 crore figure. If occupancy stays concentrated in evening and night shows, the play is to concentrate paid media and sampling windows there, not to chase all-day reach.
