HelloYou.TV Targets 200M Screens with FAST Channel Push

HelloYou.TV is widening its channel lineup and its distribution map at the same time. The Swedish-owned free ad-supported TV platform is adding a UK comedy channel, a movie channel and a bigger run for Real Madrid TV, while pushing toward a stated target of 200 million screens by the end of the year.

Two channels, one local strategy

At Mipcom, the company said BritCom Fun, a 24/7 UK comedy channel, will launch in the Nordics and Benelux. Star Movies, a new movie offering, is due in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Holland and Belgium this week.

HelloYou.TV is owned by Sweden’s Razmooz Media and already distributes channels across Europe, Brazil, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia-Pacific. Its existing slate includes Western Bound and Iconic, and it says more than 2,500 hours of live sport sit across channels such as Play TV, W-Sport, Super Sport 1 and Archery Channel.

Sports as the anchor tenant

The more significant move is distribution. Real Madrid TV goes live on Samsung TV Plus in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium on Wednesday. The channel is already in the Nordics, Brazil and Canada, and the company told C21 that launches in the US, Australia and New Zealand will follow in the coming weeks through partner DiceVerse.

For media buyers, that is a recognisable structure: a global sports brand opens platform negotiations and creates appointment viewing, while local comedy and movie channels fill out the schedule at lower cost.

What the 200 million target signals

HelloYou.TV’s screen target is ambitious for a platform that is not a major TV manufacturer or a global streamer. The number matters less as a guarantee and more as a statement about how the company wants to be bought: as a distribution network for rights holders rather than a collection of niche channels.

The practical read for advertisers and content owners:

  • FAST is shifting from an experiment to a frequency and reach layer in several markets.
  • A sports anchor can do the heavy lifting on distribution; local genres supply the inventory around it.
  • Platform reach targets are a useful proxy for where ad-supported connected TV budgets may follow.

Chairman and founder Ramon Zwartkruis said the company was “particularly excited about the international growth of Real Madrid TV,” while also pointing to locally relevant concepts such as BritCom Fun. HelloYou.TV says it is using Mipcom to meet content owners, platforms and distributors for acquisitions and further portfolio growth.

For planners, the test is whether Samsung TV Plus distribution converts into measurable reach. If it does, the 200 million-screen goal becomes a buying benchmark; if not, it remains a pitch number.
