Drishyam 3 hits ₹313 crore in 11 days

Mumbai: Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has turned the end of a franchise into a record-setting run. Eleven days after its October 2 release, the crime thriller is the actor’s highest-grossing film and the first led by him to cross ₹300 crore in India net collections.

Day 11 keeps the total climbing

Sacnilk’s live tracking puts the Monday figure at ₹4.98 crore net, taking the domestic cume to ₹313.98 crore across 13,594 shows. That followed a second weekend in which the film crossed ₹300 crore on Day 10.

The second-week curve looks like this:

  • Day 8 (Friday): ₹14.50 crore
  • Day 9 (Saturday): ₹26.50 crore across 14,903 shows
  • Day 10 (Sunday): ₹22.50 crore across 14,872 shows, 15.1% lower than Saturday
  • Day 11 (Monday): ₹4.98 crore across 13,594 shows

A record for Ajay Devgn, not just the film

The run has pushed Drishyam 3 past Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior to become Devgn’s biggest box-office success. For a star with a long theatrical history, that changes how planners should benchmark the film: it is no longer simply the third chapter, but the catalogue’s new ceiling.

Why the second Monday matters

A steep Sunday-to-Monday percentage drop is standard after a blockbuster weekend. The signal is the absolute Monday number—₹4.98 crore—which shows that the film is still generating demand on a working day. Franchise titles often convert brand recall into repeat viewing here, and this one is doing so even with mixed reviews in circulation.

Hindustan Times’ review said the film “has enough drama and nostalgia to keep the fans engaged,” but argued it asks viewers to take a few too many things at face value. For marketers, that gap is revealing: the asset is the franchise and its audience memory, not a universally praised plot.

The rights value goes up

Directed by Abhishek Pathak and backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, the film features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Saran and Prakash Raj. With worldwide collections reported past ₹480 crore, digital and satellite negotiations will start from a much stronger position than the earlier instalments.

For streaming and TV buyers, the practical takeaway is to re-price the franchise at the new total. A ₹300-crore net theatrical run resets the floor for post-theatrical deals, and the title’s library value will be compared with this number when the next offers are made.
