Bethlehem Kudumba Unit added Rs 1.05 crore in India net on Day 28, down 16% from the previous day’s Rs 1.25 crore. The September 17 total came from 1,338 shows at 20.9% occupancy.
The headline numbers
After four weeks, the film has moved into a holdover phase. The key totals are:
- India net: Rs 152.20 crore
- India gross: Rs 177.72 crore
- Overseas gross: Rs 136.20 crore
- Worldwide gross: Rs 313.92 crore
- Day 28 occupancy: 20.9% across 1,338 shows
The weekly India net path tells the same story: Rs 52.30 crore in the opening week, Rs 49.85 crore in week 2, Rs 33.30 crore in week 3, and Rs 16.75 crore in week 4 so far.
Language split is the real story
On Day 28, the Malayalam version produced Rs 95 lakh of the Rs 1.05 crore India net total. The Tamil and Telugu versions each added Rs 5 lakh. That concentration matters for distributors and marketers. The Tamil and Telugu versions were released on September 4, but they have not turned this into a multi-language title.
For the Malayalam 2D version, night shows recorded 22.50% occupancy against 8.75% in morning shows. That points to a time- and location-specific core audience rather than broad all-day family walk-ins.
Benchmark against I’m Game
Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game offers a useful comparison. Its worldwide gross stands at Rs 47.75 crore, including Rs 29.55 crore India gross and Rs 18.20 crore overseas. The India share is 61.88%. The Malayalam version of I’m Game has also tapered daily: Rs 9 lakh on Day 13, Rs 7 lakh on Day 14, and Rs 4 lakh on Day 15.
Where Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is a Rs 300-crore-plus global story, I’m Game remains more India-weighted. For media planners watching Malayalam cinema, the contrast shows how overseas performance can change the revenue mix.
