Drishyam 3 tops ₹303 crore worldwide after 65% Day 4 drop

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 has put ₹303 crore in worldwide gross after four days, but the Monday numbers show the pivot from opening firepower to weekday endurance. The crime thriller collected ₹21 crore net in India on day four, a 65.6% drop from Sunday, taking the domestic total to ₹197.50 crore net.

Day 4 by the numbers

Trade data via Sacnilk, cited by Outlook India, records Monday’s India run across 16,254 shows at 24% occupancy. India gross now sits at ₹237 crore. Overseas added ₹5 crore on day four, taking the film’s overseas gross to ₹66 crore.

  • India net: ₹197.50 crore (₹237 crore gross)
  • Overseas gross: ₹66 crore
  • Worldwide gross: ₹303 crore
  • Next milestone: ₹200 crore India net, expected today

Why the milestone matters

The ₹303 crore worldwide gross in four days places the film among 2026’s top earners after Mirzapur, Hanuman Ansh, Border 2 and Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Its first weekend has already exceeded the lifetime haul of Awarapan 2, and the title is now Ajay Devgn’s biggest opener. Directed, co-written and produced by Abhishek Pathak, the sequel to 2022’s Drishyam 2 also stars Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Jaideep Ahlawat, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav.

Monday drop or warning?

For media planners and exhibition teams, a 65.6% first-Monday correction is common after a big opening, but the question is whether weekday numbers stabilise at or above the Monday level. If they do, the second weekend can push the domestic total deeper past ₹200 crore; if they slide further, the lifetime range narrows.

The net-versus-gross gap also matters. Net collections track the India theatrical share after tax, while gross includes ticket-level collections and overseas numbers. That is why the ₹303 crore worldwide gross is the headline number, while the ₹197.50 crore India net is the distributor-side figure.

The review tension

Audience reaction has been broadly positive, but Outlook India’s review noted that the film “has enough twists, humour and performances to keep the franchise’s loyal audience invested, but it does not always possess the precision that made the earlier films so memorable.” That matters as the film leaves the opening weekend: warm reviews help weekday walk-ins, and any fatigue usually shows up in second-weekend drops.
