The third chapter of the Drishyam series has built its reputation on Vijay Salgaonkar, a central character whose ability to stay steps ahead of the law is the real engine of the story. For the conclusion, Pathak said the writing team did not treat the plot as a normal thriller puzzle. They worked from inside the character’s logic.

Pathak described the process as a deliberate shift in method. The writing room adopted the central character’s calculated mindset, then used early narrations as a test audience.
