Mirzapur The Movie is showing rare staying power. On its fourth Sunday, the film collected a net Rs 1.70 crore across India from 1,277 shows, a 9.7% lift over the previous day, according to Sacnilk data reported by The Times of India. For a theatrical release entering its fourth week, that daily growth is less about the absolute figure and more about the shape of demand.
The India net total now stands at Rs 227.05 crore; India gross is Rs 270.22 crore. Overseas markets have added Rs 60.50 crore gross, taking the worldwide gross to Rs 330.72 crore.
What the fourth weekend looked like
Friday opened the frame at Rs 1.00 crore net. Saturday improved to Rs 1.55 crore and Sunday closed at Rs 1.70 crore. The film did this while new releases such as The Vvaan: Force of the Forest and Vibe were in theatres, which makes the hold more meaningful: audiences had fresh options and still returned to the Mirzapur film.
Occupancy tells the same story. Hindi 2D shows moved from 20.0% on Friday to 30.0% on Saturday and 31.0% on Sunday.
Why a week-four hold matters
Most films make a disproportionate share of lifetime collections in the first two weeks. A title that is still gaining day-on-day in its fourth Sunday is not simply opening; it is holding. For a streaming-born franchise, that hold signals that the IP has theatrical equity beyond the first wave of fan rush.
ETimes gave the film 3 stars out of 5, praising the performances. The review said Pankaj Tripathi “is excellent again, bringing the same quiet menace that made his character so watchable in the show.” Ravi Kishan, as Babban Yadav, was called the standout new addition.
Daypart data is the planning insight
Hindi 2D occupancy on Day 24 was not evenly spread:
- Morning: 15.38%
- Afternoon: 51.77%
- Evening: 51.00%
- Night: 36.38%
That gap matters. The Mirzapur audience is not a morning impulse crowd; it is an afternoon and evening outing. For cinema advertisers, trailer placements and sampling campaigns, the data argues for weighting spend toward the slots where the audience actually shows up.
What to watch next
The relevant number is no longer just the worldwide cume. It is the Sunday-to-Sunday retention and whether the film stays above the 1,000-show mark as more releases enter. If the daypart skew holds for another week, it tells media planners that the core Mirzapur viewer is still committed, not casually showing up.
