Versant's FAST roster reaches 13 channels

Versant is turning cable library titles into free, ad-supported streaming channels. The company behind CNBC and USA is adding four new FAST networks built from Oxygen, E! and CNBC programming, lifting its free streaming portfolio to 13 outlets.

The new channels

  • Snapped — Oxygen’s long-running true-crime franchise, on air since 2004 and focused on women charged with murder.
  • Botched — E!’s plastic-surgery reality format on the highs and lows of cosmetic procedures.
  • Oxygen Murders of America — a true-crime documentary series built from the Oxygen library.
  • CNBC Ambition — entrepreneurship, innovation and wealth-creation stories drawn from CNBC primetime series.

Prime Video in the U.S. gets all four from October 27. The Roku Channel follows with staggered launches beginning November 3, and Versant said it expects to keep adding platforms in the coming months.

Why this matters for the screen business

For cable programmers, FAST is a low-cost way to make old franchises work as new inventory. These are not untested shows; they arrive with known audiences and clear genre identities. For media buyers, that means more connected-TV supply that is easy to place against true crime, reality or business content without a subscription barrier.

“Growing our digital platforms and reaching new audiences are central to Versant’s strategy,” said Dave Pietrycha, chief revenue and business officer of Versant, in a statement. “Bringing more of our programming to Prime Video and The Roku Channel extends the reach of our iconic brands and provides audiences with more ways to discover content they value wherever they watch.”

What to do with it

The rollout shows how library IP can be packaged for ad-supported distribution. Versant began with six FAST channels, added three more through its January 2026 acquisition of Free TV Networks, and is now layering on four more. Existing channels on Prime Video and The Roku Channel already include Oxygen True Crime Archives, E! Keeping Up, Bad Girls Club and GolfPass; Prime Video also carries 365BLK and Outlaw.

That distribution pattern is the practical takeaway. A single franchise can travel across multiple storefronts, so planners should not treat FAST as one undifferentiated national buy. The smarter approach is to track platform-specific launch timing and genre mix, then price contextually rather than waiting for legacy ratings currency. FAST has become the bridge between library economics and growing ad-supported CTV time, and the channel mix under one seller makes that easier to buy.
