Drishyam 3 Worldwide Gross Reaches Rs 574.65 cr

Four weeks after its October 2 release, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is still a theatre story. The Ajay Devgn-led crime thriller collected Rs 1.05 crore net in India on day 25, a 65% drop from the previous day, but the film continues to find audiences against newer releases.

The Monday number came from 3,127 shows, according to Sacnilk data cited by The Times of India. It pushes the India net total to Rs 369.95 crore. India gross stands at Rs 443.15 crore, while overseas gross is Rs 131.50 crore after a Rs 25 lakh Monday. Worldwide, the film has reached Rs 574.65 crore.

A front-loaded hit with a real tail

The week-wise curve shows how sharply the film has slowed and why the remaining collections still matter.

  • Week one: Rs 245.50 crore
  • Week two: Rs 87.50 crore
  • Week three: Rs 28.85 crore
  • Week four so far: Rs 8.10 crore

Week four opened quietly at Rs 1.40 crore on day 22, then climbed to Rs 2.65 crore on day 23 and Rs 3 crore on day 24, before Monday’s expected drop. That weekend lift is the detail media planners should note: even after the opening fan rush, the franchise still produces a clear Friday-to-Sunday pattern worth buying against.

Why the hold still matters

Day 25 is not a record by any measure. But a film holding 3,127 screens in its fourth week is valuable late-run inventory for exhibitors and a signal that the Drishyam franchise translates into loyalty beyond the opening burst.

Overseas is reinforcing the domestic run. With Rs 131.50 crore gross from international markets, the film is no longer relying only on the Hindi core. The split between India gross and overseas gross tells programmers that a sequel with a strong whodunit lead can be programmed as a global title, not just a domestic event.

What screen professionals should do

For media planners, the takeaway is simple: do not turn off spend after opening weekend by default. A franchise title may still be pulling high-intent viewers in week four, and the weekend lifts show audiences are choosing it over fresh competition. Keeping a small discovery or reminder budget alive on connected TV and social can capture that tail cheaply.

For exhibitors, the show count itself is a demand signal. If the fifth week keeps enough occupancy, the title can continue to hold premium evening screens instead of being pushed out entirely.
